Welcome to Empower Estevan!
This website has been designed to help you and your community do something about the rising problem of alcohol and drug abuse by our city youth.
Almost anybody you talk to in our community will agree with you if you ask them if things have gotten worse for the youth of our city.
And things ARE worse: When it comes to the types of drugs being used in break-and-enters to gain of money for more drugs. Car accidents involving alcohol/drugs and overdoses.
We at Empower believe that the children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and concerned citizens (anyone, really!) of Estevan and surrounding area can do something about it.
Here is where we can answer your questions and give you the information you need to take control over your own life again.
Part of the reason Empower was started was because we came to realize that we can't do it alone. In this site, you will be introduced to the different organizations and services that can help you.
We will do our best to answer your questions.
Questions such as:
"How do I know if my child is using drugs?"
"Who can I talk to about it?"
"What kind of drugs are out there?"
"I've tried everything, what do I do now?"
We believe that by working together, we can make a difference.
Your confidentiality is important to us so if you contact one of our services, and you want to remain anonymous, you will be provided with a phone number so that you may contact one of our people from a payphone with a question or tip.
